I live in the southern California community of Lakewood with my wife, Namika, and my daughter, Leila. By day, I teach cultural anthropology at California State University, Long Beach, and by night (and day) I write mystery, suspense, and supernatural fiction. My first job pays the bills; the second one feeds my soul. I hope one day the second job will do both. And now that I've sold several short stories, this dream is on its way toward reality. I am also putting the finishing touches on my first novel, and I continue to write short fiction. I'm a member of the Los Angeles Chapter of Sisters-in-Crime (http://www.sistersincrimela.com/) and the SoCal Chapter of Mystery Writers of America (http://www.socalmwa.com/). |
